This link has a VERY clever problem.   It's not necessary for all students, but a couple of you have sadi that you need to raise your score for scholarships.  There is a good problem involving  W  and  A +B+C+D that is clever.

Remember:  We are looking for patterns.

We want to be FLEXIBLE.

A MATH BOOK

Here is
a list of formulas

  1. The GRE is scored on a 130-170 scale in each section. You'll receive both a GRE Verbal score and on GRE Quantitative score. Because there are so few possible scores – only 41 – that you can get on the GRE, answering just one more question correctly could be enough to turn an average score into a great score.Dec 26, 2013
  2. What's a Good GRE Score? - Grockit

I've been thinking...

I'd like to propose the following

THURSDAYS
June 30
July 2
July 9
July 16   (I'm away again)    July 14 TUESDAY
July 23    Jenna is showing words        July 21
July 30                                  July 28

For students who want to, let's see if we can meet every Tuesday evening.  IN ADDITION to Thursday.
I'd like to give you additional chances to show your ability.

Please download the link and try one of these problems...

IF you see a formula that you don't understand, then circle it and let's talk about it in class...  or you can email me and ask me to "EXPLAIN the formula for a slope"

I notice that some of you have LIVE.com.  It's okay ... you have a ONE DRIVE and you can store materials on your ONE DRIVE.

GROUP EMAIL
i HAVE POSTED YOUR EMAILS IN BCC (BLIND CARBON COPY) to protect your privacy.  However, I like it if I can send something to all of you and then ask you all to reply ...  IF YOU WANT TO BE INCLUDED in the GROUP EMAIL DISCUSSION, send me an short "YES, ADD ME TO THE GROUP."

Then I'll post a problem and wait for you to reply with your answers.    Your reply will go to all of the students who WANT to participate.

BETTER SCORE
If you want a BETTER SCORE, you need to do a LOT OF PROBLEMS.   You can go through  the following places
www.magoosh.com  (they have free gre questions)

SIGN UP FOR APPS or GET FLASHCARDS

ASK QUESTIONS
You can make this a PERSONAL class by sending me the questions that you have.   We can then address those questions in the class.  I can also reply with my answers or I can ask the GROUP to reply with answers and make everyone exercise their heads over these questions.

When you find questions that puzzle you, then you need to take photos or print the problem and we'll discuss it in class.  KEEP A COLLECTION of "problems that I need to review."   Look at the WORKED EXAMPLES by covering the answer and reviewing how the problem was solved.

Send me your questions.
